Welcome!
My name is Liv Geimke and I serve as the 2024 Vice President of Recruitment for UNCW’s Panhellenic Council. My council members and I are so excited that you are interested in our Greek community here on campus and are looking forward to seeing you in our 2024 formal recruitment!
Our formal recruitment process takes place from 08/30/2024 to 09/03/2024. During the span of these 5 days, you will get the chance to meet each of our 11 chapters here on campus. You will learn about their academics, philanthropies, sisterhood, and what makes each chapter unique!
Joining a Panhellenic sorority can be a highly rewarding experience for so many reasons, providing opportunities for growth, leadership, and lifelong connections. Our outstanding Panhellenic women on campus are enthusiastic about their community service and philanthropy, forming deep friendships not only within their own chapter but also across the entire Panhellenic community on campus. In a sorority, you will find a support system that stands by you through challenges and celebrates your successes. It’s about finding a home away from home, where you are encouraged to be your best self, and where you contribute to something greater than yourself. Joining a sorority means becoming part of a legacy of strong, empowered women who inspire each other to achieve their fullest potential.
Joining a sorority and being a part of the Greek community here at UNCW have truly been the most rewarding experiences of my life. I’ve gained a strong sense of belonging and community here that has significantly enhanced my college experience. The friendships I’ve formed go beyond just shared social experiences, I’ve found a community of women who support each other and are genuine with one another. I am forever grateful for the experiences, lessons, and lifelong friendships that being a part of the Greek community at UNCW has given me.
My advice for you is to embrace the nerves and take the leap. You never know what incredible doors may open for you along the way. Be your authentic self and let your personality shine through. Our Panhellenic women are eagerly waiting for you and cannot wait to see you this fall!
